Abstract

Health problems in partners include the high incidence of fever in toddlers which reaches 45.8%. Factors that affect the frequency of children getting sick are the tropics, where tropical areas like Indonesia are good for germs to breed, for example flu, malaria, dengue fever, and diarrhea. These various diseases are usually more prevalent in the transitional season. High fever can cause seizures which in this case are called febrile seizures. A febrile seizure is an emergency in children that must be treated immediately. One of the first aids is with a warm tepid sponge compress. The method used is health education with lectures, group discussions and workshops on tepid sponge compresses. As for what has been done: (1) draw up an activity plan, implementation schedule, technical instructions, supporting facilities and media, (2) hold training on tepid sponge compresses. After training, workshops, and mentoring were held, posyandu cadres and women of childbearing age at Posyandu partners in Wirowongso Village, 80% had knowledge of the Tepid Sponge Good compress and 20% had sufficient knowledge while those who had less knowledge did not exist. Women of childbearing age before and after training, workshops, and mentoring with a p value of 0.003. This shows that the knowledge of Posyandu cadres and women of childbearing age has been able to provide an analysis of the fever problems experienced by children and how to prevent and early management of the problems experienced. The psychomotor abilities of posyandu cadres and women of childbearing age at the Posyandu partners in Wirowongso Village in doing the Tepid Sponge compress are good and able to do it correctly.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) began to enter Indonesia in March 2020. The spread of this virus was massive in July with the highest case on July 15, 2021. So far, cases have started to decline because the discipline of health protocols has begun to be applied, and most Indonesians have received the Covid-19 vaccine. The growth of Covid-19 had a major impact and became an obstacle to Indonesia's economic growth, especially the Micro and Small Industry (MSI). According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) there are 50% of Small and Medium Industries went bankrupt due to Covid-19 because turnover has decreased by 40% - 70%. In the Covid-19 pandemic situation, Product Branding can be offered to MSI as one of the solutions to problems to achieve economic resilience. The Community Partnership Program is expected to be able to contribute to solving the problems faced by IMK in Sorong, namely "competitor constraints" and "marketing constraints". In relation to competitor constraints and marketing constraints, MSI is expected to be able to market products easily and be able to compete. For this reason, product branding insight is needed. In this case, MSI actors need to be equipped with product branding insights, so that they can sell their products easily, precisely in booking, easy to recognize their products, and customer loyalty. For this reason, product branding skills need to be socialized to improve the quality of MSI Actors' Human Resources. Based on evaluation results, in general the initial knowledge related to product branding is good, with the lowest score for the pretest 54 and the highest score being 70. Meanwhile, in the posttest score there was a significant increase in the value, with the lowest score being 73 and the highest score reaching 95.

Abstract

In 2013, there were 18 provinces whose coverage of early breastfeeding was below the national figure, one of which was East Java. Mother's knowledge from pregnancy to childbirth about IMD is very decisive for the success of exclusive breastfeeding and avoiding the baby from being malnourished. The counseling activity for early breastfeeding initiation at Posyandu Catleya 19 was attended by 22 prospective mothers, 7 pregnant women and 6 breastfeeding mothers. Participants were given a pretest to determine the level of knowledge about early breastfeeding initiation. The activity continued with the presentation of material about early breastfeeding initiation to participants. The community service team also provided modules to participants in easy-to-understand language, followed by discussion and question and answer sessions. The topics that were used as questions by the participants were related to family support in breastfeeding, the fear of pregnant women about breast milk that did not come out when giving birth to a baby and equalizing perceptions regarding the importance of breastfeeding for babies starting with early initiation of breastfeeding for newborns. Based on the evaluation results, there were 20 prospective mothers, 7 pregnant women and 4 breastfeeding mothers with a post test score higher than the pretest score or a total of 88.57%. This shows that there is an increase in knowledge about the importance of early breastfeeding initiation for the success of exclusive breastfeeding to infants.

Abstract

Sidodadi village, Tempurejo sub-district is one of the villages in the southern part of Jember Regency. The majority of the population works in the agricultural sector. The village is known as an agriculture-based village in Jember Regency. The “Ngudi Rejeki” Farmer's Group in Sidodadi Village, Tempurejo District, Jember is constrained by the problem of increasing non-subsidized fertilizer prices which makes it an obstacle in increasing agricultural yields. On the other hand, the regulation of subsidized fertilizers is quite limited among farmers so that it is suspected that it will increase production costs. The results of direct discussions with partners revealed an interesting fact that the average use of chemical fertilizers is very high even though currently the use of organic fertilizers can reduce production costs with the basic ingredients for making fertilizers derived from agricultural production residues. This area has a lot of waste rice straw and cow dung that has not been utilized. Some of the solutions offered to deal with partner problems include socializing the use of organic fertilizers, one of which is trichocompost fertilizer as a substitute for the use of chemical fertilizers, demonstrations on how to make trichocompost fertilizer with cow dung as raw material with the biodecomposer Trichoderma sp. This extension activity is carried out with a participatory approach, which means that farmers as extension participants are actively involved in the activity. The method used in the implementation of community service is socialization, discussion, and demonstration of making trichocompost fertilizer. The results of the socialization of trichocompost organic fertilizer obtained as many as 77% of farmers interested in using trichocompost fertilizer as soil improvement fertilizer.

Abstract

This service aims to conduct training for stakeholders in Kemiri village, Jember Regency. These stakeholders are the village head, and the ranks of the village apparatus, the head of the BPD and members of the BPD. The background of this community service is the high need from stakeholders for insight and skills in the village policy-making process. Kemiri Village, which was inaugurated by the Regent of Jember as a tourism village, demands the ability of stakeholders to develop candlenut tourism villages. The development of tourist villages can be achieved starting from the political commitment of these stakeholders. This political commitment is a political policy as outlined in the village government regulation (PERDES). Thus the solution to this need is training and assistance in making village regulations in an effort to develop Kemiri tourism villages. The framework of thinking/content in the training of making village regulations refers to a rural based development approach, where village development includes the idea that village development is carried out to increase the benefits of natural potential, community potential, social institutional potential and local economic potential and local culture, as well as potential government apparatus to support the development of tourist villages. Kemiri Village, which has the characteristics of a mountainside village (Gunung Argopuro), the direction of its development has the potential for natural beauty, the potential of agriculture-plantation through processing agricultural products, and the unique culture of the community community and various other local wisdoms that can become social capital for the development of tourist villages. However, this great potential should continue to be explored so that it can become a real asset, for that, the involvement of various parties who have empathy and a vision of village development should synergize the roles of one another. The partnership between village stakeholder groups and higher levels of government, DUDI (industrial world business), private groups, and groups of scholars from universities (students and lecturers who carry out BKP-MBKM Village Development) is the key phrase for accelerating tourism village development. . This line of thought was built so that training and mentoring can be right on target and in accordance with the potential of the village area on the slopes of Mount Argopuro (especially Kemiri Village). This community service will involve students who are doing BKP-MBKM in Kemiri village.
